Super Strength Workout In 30 Minutes!

Super Strength Workout
This brutally simple yet effective workout has 2 parts.
The first part of the workout focuses on maximal strength (intensity) on one core/main lift.
The second part of the workout focuses on density and volume and getting the most 'bang for your buck'.
It's nothing new or revolutionary, but it works if your stumped for time and want to hit all bases.
This is best if your NOT already on a structured program that your following consistently, such as if your on holiday and have access to a gym, or need something easy to follow.
This is not recommended for beginners.
The Plan
Part 1: First 15 Minutes
Pick a main exercise. This should be a compound lift, preferably barbell, such as a barbell squat, deadlift or bench press, as they allow for the most weight to be loaded.
The focus should be on maximal strength here. A few templates you can follow:
3x5@ 80%1RM
5x5@ 75% 1RM
3-3-3 @ 85% 1RM
This should take under 15 minutes to complete.
Alternatively, you can establish a 3-5RM on the desired lift within 15 minutes.
You can be flexible with this, as long as your resting under 3 minutes a set and keep it low volume. Intensity is key* You get plenty of high rep action in part 2...
*Intensity referring to the % of your 1RM, not your rate of perceived exertion (RPE).
Part 2: Last 15 Minutes
Part 2 we flip things around.
Select 3 accessory exercises. For example, on squat/leg day you could choose leg press, walking lunges and good mornings.
Optimally, compound movements are better, as you get a better hormonal response which works twofold for muscle gain and fat loss, but you can add an isolation exercise if you wish.
You will complete the exercises as a tri-set/complex, one after another with no rest between.
If you where to do 10 reps per exercise, at a tempo of 3-1-1 (3 seconds to lower, 1 second pause, 1 second to lift) equates to just under 3 minutes to complete all 3 exercises in a row.
For the above example, I'd go with a weight that I could do 15 solid reps with (around 50% 1RM). The focus is not on maximal load here, but total volume within the timeframe.
Now given the first part took 15 minutes, we only have 15 minutes left, so arguably if you were to go with the scheme I provided above, you would be able to complete around 5 total rounds.
1 Round = The three exercises completed one after another (tri set).
You can experiment with the tempo and reps per exercise, but you want to limit it to a total of 3-4 exercises instead of turning it into a circuit.
This method is what crossfit peeps call 'AMRAP' which stands for as many rounds as possible. In this case however, our aim isn't to achieve as many rounds as we can by focusing on speed of movement, but rather limiting the rest between exercises. Quality of movement, time under tension and limited rest are the goals here.
This will create a massive lactate buildup and taps into the muscle glycogen stores considerably by moving beyond the anaerobic work zone.
You can use more ballistic movements (kettlebell swings, kettlebell snatches, medicine balls) however the total time under tension is a lot less, and you'd have to increase the reps substantially, making the workout more aerobic in nature.
The beauty of it is you won't be inclined to waste as much time as you normally do between sets, mindlessly looking around the gym, texting or daydreaming... it makes you work, your RPE (rate of perceived exertion) will be high.
You shouldn't be gassed after this, it isn't cardio, but you will be breathing hard... treat it more like a hybrid bodybuilding workout, go for the pump and feel the burn, and just keep moving... embrace the pain.

Workouts at Home to Gain Muscle

There are several workouts at home you can do to gain muscle. Working out at home is a great way to save money and has many other benefits involved. Some of these benefits include:
Not having to wait for someone to finish with an exercise.
Workout at your own pace.
Not having to hear other people. (This can be a benefit depending on the situation.)
Gives you direct access to exercises without having to leave home.
1. Not having to wait for someone to finish with an exercise can improve your workout routine. When you are in the middle of completing your workouts which are part of your workout routine, and you are in that groove where you feel strong and pumped, waiting for someone to finish with a particular exercise may effect the way you will perform the workout then if you were to not wait. The reason I say this is because your attention is focused on waiting for them to finish with the workout and by the time they are done with it, you might use up some energy and lose the pump you had. So this may play an important role in the muscle gains you achieve.
2. Working out at your own pace give you the time to complete the exercises you are doing properly and may improve your focus on the workout as well. Your mind can easily be distracted when your at the gym, but if you are at home working out there will probably be less distractions which can allow you to put most of your attention on the workout itself.
3. Not having to hear other people is similar to the distractions. Sometimes you may just want to workout alone without any distractions or outside noises which can effect the way your workout goes.
4. Gives you direct access to exercises without having to leave home. This allows you to save money and make and plan your own workout routine at home. You can make it on your own terms, and create a workout routine schedule which seems alright with you. Here is an example of how having such a direct access to workouts at home can improve your commitment to your workout routine.
There could be a situation where you would go workout but you just don't feel like getting ready and driving to the gym, or taking the bus, whatever route you use to get there. You just might not feel it, but with the exercises at home, this removes that feeling because you don't even have to leave your home. So this is an example of how having direct access to exercises at home can be a benefit to your workout routine and overall body transformation.
Hope you enjoyed reading this article.
Thanks for reading.

What Is Electronic Muscle Stimulation?

Electronic Muscle Stimulation is a revolutionary muscle exercise concept for use now in your home, office or on the go. Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) works by sending safe, gentle, electronic impulses to contract muscles. This electronic stimulation is similar to the message the central nervous system sends causing muscles to contract during a workout. The electronic impulses travel from the EMS unit through lead wires to self-adhesive electrodes or rubber electrodes that adhere to the skin above the muscle. EMS is a tool for toning, strengthening and building muscles, rehabilitation of muscles & pain management. Physical Therapists, Chiropractic Doctors, & Professional Athletes have used EMS devices for many years. Now with over-the-counter EMS devices the general public is enjoying the benefits of Electronic Muscle Stimulation as well.
Athletes have long used EMS to supplement their workout. It can be used pre-workout to warm up muscles, in place of a workout or for post-exercise recovery. Many Olympic Athletes use a frequency of stimulation called Russian Stim. This was developed in Russia for the Russian Olympic team and is a proven method for muscle enhancement. The benefits of EMS for athletes are you will build more muscle faster and recover after exercise more quickly. Additional Benefits of EMS include increasing local blood circulation, maintaining and increasing range of motion, prevention or retardation of muscle spasms, & re-education of muscles.
Some EMS devices have a frequency setting called TENS (Transcutaneous Electronic Nerve Stimulation). The TENS frequency blocks the pain signal to the brain and encourages the body to release natural endorphins to manage pain. This has been used in the medical sciences for quite some time and is approved by the FDA. The FDA now approves some devices for over-the-counter. This has opened the door for the general public to safely use Electronic Muscle Stimulators and provides another option in the effort to manage pain.
Features offered on EMS devices include battery operated vs. ac adapter, portability, preset programs vs. manual settings, size ranges from palm size to desk top, and special frequency options such as TENS and Russian Stim. The options and/or features allow you to choose the device specific to your individual needs.
Muscle Stimulators are safe with proper use. If you are pregnant or have a pacemaker it is recommended that you do not use an EMS device. With a preexisting medical condition or when in doubt always consult a medical professional.
StimRX.com has been in business for over 25 years. All our EMS units have a TENS setting and we also offer the Russian Stim Setting on our PowerStim 15R. High Rep Bodyweight Leg Training Builds Legendary Conditioning!

Leg training is a brutal type of training that many stay away from. Many think leg training in either running or gym work, and yes this is a form of leg training but leg training is so much more and more brutal than anyone could ever think.
Bodyweight training has come a long way, and just as it was making its way back bodyweight training went in another direction, it moved from standard more traditional bodyweight to gymnastic or circus type movements using about the same rep scheme as traditional weight training.
High rep bodyweight training is often over looked as a way only to condition the body and conditioning being the only benefit. The fact is when people try high rep conditioning they find that it is extremely difficult and instead of saying that it's too tough they switch to less volume and more rest time.
Today's society has more people training than ever before, and there are many types of training out there, there is something for everyone and everyone has the best way to train. The problem is people don't stick with things long enough to get results or the training is too difficult to do and they move on.
Most people focus on glamor muscles, muscles that look good and that are not very useful. Magazine covers show amazing muscled up body of a man or woman that people think they can identify with and in reality it's a dream.
The higher the reps and the higher the intensity, the harder the muscles work, and more oxygen is needed in the muscles and this where most men quit, this is called training to failure.
Stopping at failure trains the body to quit when the going gets tough, when you push on a little farther mental toughness is built. The pain is extreme the rests are short the results dramatic.
Leg conditioning is a whole different animal, it is the most result producing type of exercise you can do for building muscle, burning fat and building a level of conditioning that is almost superhuman. For years I avoided any real leg training because I thought that it would slow me down. Years later I found that leg training with high reps are workouts that make men.
Any one can train the upper body and most focus the majority of training on muscles that can be displayed easily.
The upper body is idolized, while the lower body is demonized. It's a wicked way to live, but the benefits are great.
Workout that can be used is 50 jump squats and 50 pushups resting 1 minute and repeating this 3 times. Simple concept amazing benefits.

Health and Weight Loss With Optimum Nutrition

Optimum Nutrition has been one of the biggest key players in the world of sports nutrition for quite a while now. With plenty of specialty products, ON has been providing bodybuilders and other athletes with the nutritional supplements and special performance boosting supplements that they need to perform at their peak.
But what about the rest of us? What about people who aren't interested in making it in the big time on the competitive bodybuilding circuit or in the professional sports world, but just want to look decently toned or ripped, lose a little bit of unwanted fat and keep our bodies in decent shape. Does Optimum Nutrition cater for us and our needs?
Indeed, ON most certainly does. And I'm not talking here about all of the things you can do with Optimum Nutrition's protein powders for general nutrition and making sure you have enough protein in your diet (heck, if you have a fussy child who needs a bit more protein in their diet but won't eat meat, they will probably consume a protein shake with no problems at all). Optimum Nutrition also makes plenty of dietary supplements for weight loss and general nutrition.
Take a look at some of ON's best-sellers. One of their top products is the salmon oil soft gels. Salmon oil is an excellent source of Omega 3 essential fatty acids needed for optimum heart health, so these capsules are a good way to get these essential fatty acids in your diet - each capsule contains 200 mg of Omega 3 EFA's. Some of the other vitamins and minerals in the Optimum Nutrition supplements range include the Stress-B complex, the Opti-Men multivitamin tablets and the Opti-Women multivitamins.
And for weight loss, Optimum Nutrition delivers the goods. If you need a meal replacement to give you that feeling of satisfaction but without any excess calories or fat (but with all the fiber and protein you need, plus many vitamins and minerals), try the Whey Gold Meal or the Whey Gold Meal Lite. Alternatively, if snacking between meals tends to be your weight loss downfall, try Optimum Nutrition's Chitosan, which will help fight with your appetite and reduces cravings. But for extra-quick weight loss, then ON's Mega Fat Burners or Thermo Cuts are just what you need to raise your metabolism so you burn fat more efficiently so you can lose weight. So ON is a great option for nutritional supplements.

Xtend Supplement Is The Best BCAA Power Formula

Complete Bodybuilding Nutrition
It ought to be "complete" when you talk about nutrition for your bodybuilding program. There always had been more hype about creatine, testosterone enhancers and nitric oxide boosters, and the focus has always been to gain more muscles, as in gain "massive amounts" of muscle in a short period of time. Then there's BCAA or branch chain amino acid supplements honestly advertised by manufacturers that go beyond profiteering, but are aware that other than gaining muscle mass, some nutrition are as essential to be buff and tuff- among them BCAA found in a popular product Scivation's Xtend supplement. Scivation's Xtend bodybuilding supplement went out to the market recently, perhaps a couple of years ago. It's true that supplements are necessary to boost muscle mass gain, but it is as important to take nutrition that alleviates muscle soreness and hastens quick recovery after your workouts, too. Xtend supplement provides your muscles with more sustainable energy. Xtend bodybuilding supplement can be used as a complement to your pre and post workout energy drink. During your workout itself, take the supplement, and also on your off weight training days when you're doing cardio exercises, for example. Xtend BCAA supplement counteracts the break down of muscles and soreness when you work out.
Muscle Wear and Tear Recovery
Most products have low dosage of BCAAs. However, in the Xtend formulation, there's 3.5 gms of leucine and 1.8 gms each of valine and isoleucine- a 2:1:1 ratio considered to be most effective. Other ingredients found in Xtend BCAA are citrulline malate and glutamine. Citrulline malate improves performance. Multiple servings might be necessary because there's only 1 gm of the element found in Xtend. Per serving contains 2.5 gms of Glutamine, and it could really be effectual, because only 2 gms of Glutamine increases the natural growth of hormones. Glutamine aids in the fast recovery of muscle break down, thus, it is known to be an extremely valuable addition to Xtend BCAA supplement.
Workouts and Adequate Rest
Take Xtend BCAA bodybuilding supplement before, during and after your workouts- 2 scoops per serving, so that's 6 scoops in all for a day. Some athletes even take the supplement before bedtime, report, testifying that it gave them a more restful and deeper sleep. Nutritionists agree that glutamine in the product provides such benefit. Nitric Oxide - How Does Nitric Oxide Work?

Nitric oxide and its benefits
Nitric oxide, which is also called nitrogen oxide or nitrogen monoxide is a free radical. The molecule is denoted by NO in chemical form. NO is different from nitrous oxide which is toxic by its nature. NO in small quantities is required for the functioning of the human body as it can protect various organs present in the body. For example, with the sufficient production of NO, it is possible to protect your liver from ischemic discharge. There is great buzz for supplements in the bodybuilding community.
L-arginine role
NO benefits include the production of better pump on the human body. L-arginine is the most important constituent in nitric oxide supplements. As there is little scientific evidence that l-arginine contributes to the production of NO, Citrulline has got into prominence. Citrulline has the greatest stake in raising the blood arginine levels. As lots of metabolic activity will happen through arginine, it will be consumed in the gut and liver. There will be little that will pass through the blood stream. Nitric oxide is also a popular name for AAKG (arginine alpha ketoglutarate) which is a compound that is derived from the amino acid L-arginine and alpha-ketoglutarate. It is a substance that is formed in the body's energy generating process. Thus, the body has its own mechanism to produce natural nitric oxide.
Nitric oxide through supplements
If the NO production is not sufficient to perform various activities that take place in your body, you should go for nitric oxide supplements. This is done to enhance natural NO levels. By using these supplements, it is possible to improve production in muscles. NO has blood enhancing properties. The exercising muscle will get enriched with enhanced blood flow. The supply of oxygen and nutrients will increase and the muscle will grow strong.
New ways to generate nitric oxide
NO production can be enhanced through new ways. It is a very complex process to produce NO through synthesis from arginine. Through the new discovery, it is possible to get the benefits by generating through alternate means. The NO will be produced through the nitrate that you take through the normal diet. Through research it was established that the NO3 (dietary nitrate) will be quickly converted into NO2 (nitrite) in the mouth itself with the help of bacteria. Later on, the nitrite will be converted into NO. The production of NO will happen without depending on any cofactors or oxygen.
Best dietary supplements
In order to increase the NO levels in the body, you can consume Beetroot juice. Various kinds of studies were conducted to ascertain the impact of beetroot juice in the supplementation of nitric oxide. As a matter of fact, nitrite is taken on a daily basis to enjoy better health. 60 to 70% of the NO will be supplied to the body through the vegetables that are taken by people as part of the regular diet.
In addition to beetroot juice, you can also go for green leafy vegetables such as lettuce and spinach. In order to increase the level of nitric acid in the body, you can also go for food supplements. When you go for NO supplements, they will be readily absorbed by the gut and liver. It will also affect the blood stream and the impact can be witnessed in a matter of 30 minutes.
Impact of nitric oxide
As your body maintains sufficient levels of NO you will enjoy great performance. The exercising capacity will increase. Bodybuilders and sportspersons are deriving nitric oxide benefits by going for NO supplements on a large scale.

Muscle Building Tips To Help In Achieving Better Results

Have you seen those male athletes, especially martial artists with perfect body shapes? You will not fail to admire and be jealous of them if you are a man. On the other hand, if you are a woman you will definitely get attracted. These people did not just wake up to find themselves with the abs and the strength; they had to work for it.
Muscle building is not easy. Many people who have indulged into this endeavor may not see results not because they have not put enough effort on the bodybuilding workouts, but because they have not been using the right technique to achieve their goals. Here are a few muscle building tips that can help you become bulkier, acquire greater body shape and be healthier.
  • Set your muscle building goals
It is almost impossible to achieve anything without setting goals. You must have an ideal lean muscle mass, the ideal body weight and the body shape to achieve. This will guide you what to do each day to attain the collective target.
  • Pump your body with enough proteins
Muscle fibers are primarily made of protein. However, this protein is used to make blood components such as plasma proteins, hormones, and enzymes. The body cannot function without these substances but muscle tissue is expendable. If these substances cannot be obtained from diet, then the body turns to protein in muscles to provide the substrate for the synthesis substances. You therefore need to consume adequate amounts of protein from your diet.
  • Eat balance diet and eat more
Inasmuch as you are supposed to consume huge amounts protein, you have to maintain a balanced diet complete with adequate amounts of fat, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins. Because of the nature of workout you will have to perform, you need extra calories for the increased demand for energy to derive resistance training. This means that you have to eat more food than usual. You also have to ensure that you take whole, unprocessed foods because they are the healthiest and the most nutritious.
  • Train until fatigue sets in
During muscle training, the muscle fibers are usually stretched to accommodate the workload they are supposed to bear. As training continues, the muscles stretch beyond their capacity to bear and so tears. This is where fatigue sets. Your muscles will only grow if synthesis of new fibers is necessitated and the tears do just that. This means that your training must not be limited by time but by setting in of fatigue.
  • Drink plenty of water
Water is essential in hydration of the body and contributing the circulation by boosting the fluid part of the blood. During strength training, a lot of water is lost through sweat and this leads to accumulation of acid in the muscle causing pain and limiting endurance. Drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated washes off the acid before it can accumulate and cause muscle damage. It is recommended that you take at least eight ounce glasses of water per day to be healthy but if you want o build muscle then you will have to consume much more water.

Brutal Bodyweight Back Pack Training

When workouts are simple people seem to look past simplicity and look for more complicated.
I will tell you that complicated rarely works long term. If when you workout and you find yourself spending to much time trying to remember the next exercise, you are wasting valuable training time and concentration.
After years of the complicated I switched to a more simple approach using my bodyweight. I limit the number exercises to usually no more than 3 in a session. This allows me to focus on training and not what's next. I also believe in attacking as much of the body as possible eliminating isolation movements.
I switched to simple and explosive and almost eliminated all isolation type movements and almost eliminated all injuries. I know these go against everything we have been told about what an training regime is supposed to look like.
The more you move your body in a way that mimics real life movement the more athletic you become.Exercise's I do are used as a warm up or a cool down but could never be used as the focal point of a real training program.
I don't flip tires, swing kettlebells, use any traditional training methods, I don't put chains around my neck unless I'm in a dog collar match. I go for intensity, I work as if my life depends on it, I need to survive mentality. It's either you or me.
I choose workouts, times, reps, and decide what needs to be accomplished. I put my times up when I train to give people something to shoot for, these are workouts I put together so I'm the lab rat.
I have to figure what my plan is and attack, attack and attack until the goal was accomplished or get as close as possible so I can attack it again at a different time. High intensity training is a tough style of training and can really discourage the people that are mentally weak.
Mentally weak is more of a problem than physical weakness, but people spend more time working on their physical appearance instead of working on the most important thing that will get us the farthest "The Mind".
The mind pushes us past the limitations we have, it makes us stronger or makes us weaker, and unfortunately a weak mind is what breaks most people down.
Try this workout: Simple concept and only requires two exercise's.
50 Step ups on a 15″ bench - 25 pushups while wearing a 45 lb back pack.
Do 50 step ups with each leg - drop down and do 25 pushups and repeat switching legs each time for 10 sets or rounds stopping as little as possible.
If you do complete all 10 rounds you will have completed 500 step ups and 250 pushups wearing a 45lb back pack.
My time just under 27 minutes.
This is a very brutal workout sounds easy but beware!

Basic Muscle Building Facts Covered

By Arnold Sylvester

Asking for advice on how to build muscle can seem rather daunting. This is largely due to the severe jargon which surrounds unfamiliar new techniques like body weight workouts and high intensity interval training but it is also something which needn't be so confusing.

This may come as a little shock, but the foundations of building lean tissue are primarily the same as they were thirty or forty years ago. Things have got more advanced in certain areas, but the overall principles still stand tall.

They include:

1. Focusing on compound lifts is imperative.

These are your biggest exercises and they include moves such as the barbell squat, deadlift and bench press.

The body is forced to grow at an advanced rate with these particular exercise because it needs to recruit far more muscle fibers to get you through the exercises.

2. Learn how many reps to perform.

Several key studies have revealed that the eight to twelve repetition range is optimal for building muscular size and strength.

You'll be stronger on some exercises, naturally, but you can begin using your rep range as a guide to tell you if you are going too light or too heavy.

3. Consistency is the enemy.

If there was one thing that held people back in the gym more than anything else, it's consistency.

The number one way to keep building new gains is to hit your body with a resistance which it cannot handle comfortably. Yet, for some bizarre reason, many men do the same program for years and stick largely to the same weights on their biggest exercises. Variety and progression are the keys to success.

4. Sleep is hugely important to increasing muscle size.

Sleep is vastly under-rated by most gym users. You must remember that the body undergoes it's major rebuilding phase during the hours of a deep sleep.

The majority of this recovery phase takes place while you sleep, so be sure to register at least 8 hours whenever possible. If you have consistently neglected your sleeping patterns over a prolonged period, you should expect to see very little return for your sweat in the gym.

Disallowing sleep is comparable to building a wall one day and then returning the next day to knock it all down and build it again. Overall, you may have a nice new wall but it is not any bigger than it was yesterday.

These time tested, established techniques set the foundations for how to build muscle as far as relevant scientific research goes. While it's easy to over complicate things and turn any gym program into a science lesson, the basics of techniques such as hypertrophy, high intensity interval training and fat loss are primarily the same as they were a decade ago.
